Good morning fashiontastics! How are you today? All set for another chilly day?

The personality rocks the look... not the other way around!

O "Bob" voltou a estar na moda como já todos sabemos. Para quem não sabe o "Bob" é um corte de cabelo muito conhecido, popularizado por Coco Chanel no seu tempo e, mais recentemente e com um "twist" de modernidade, por Victoria Beckham sendo que, esta última já o usa há uns bons anos e, por esse facto, é aqui nomeada apenas como referência.

Sendo certo que todos gostamos de estar na moda, não é menos verdade que numa época industrial e de produção em massa como esta em que vivemos, em que o difícil é ter-se algo diferente e se vamos a um casamento é bom que não levemos nada da Zara ou arrisca-mo-nos a ter 10 pessoas vestidas de igual, não seria de esperar que almejássemos ser diferentes (em bom, claro) sempre que possível e, sobretudo, nas coisas mais pessoais como o estilo de cabelo? Aparentemente não. Sendo certo que este corte de cabelo é muito giro (quando bem feito e bem penteado), moderno e descontraído, será que temos mesmo que andar todas de cabeça igual? Temos todas que usar o mesmo corte de cabelo ao mesmo tempo? Estar na moda não é ser igual aos outros. Podemos estar a par das tendências, podemos e devemos usá-las em nosso beneficio mas a partir daí temos que nos encontrar, a nós mesmos, encontrar o nosso estilo próprio e fazê-lo resultar. Se acreditarmos no nosso estilo, se o usarmos verdadeiramente e não apenas o vestirmos, ele resulta de certeza. Não queiram ser iguais a toda a gente, sejam vocês mesmas e "polvilhem" a vossa personalidade e carácter com um toque de moda, não o contrário. Acreditem ou não é a personalidade que faz o look... Um look sem personalidade não é nada. Pensem nisso!

"Bob" is back as we all know. To those who aren’t familiar with it, "Bob" is a haircut, popularized by Coco Chanel in her time and, most recently, with a twist of modernity, by Victoria Beckham. As she as worn it for quiet some year now, I’m mentioning her only as a reference for those who know and appreciate the style.

Being sure that everyone wants to be fashion, is not less true that in such an industrial and mass production time as the one you live right now,  and in which it's difficult to have different apparel, and considering that if you are going to attend a marriage and expect to look unique you should not wear Zara outfit, or else, you may end up sitting with 10 look alike people, it would be expectable that we dreamed about being unique and different, especially in such personal things like hair! Apparently we don’t care that much. Being certain that this haircut is very cute (when done well and neatly combed), modern and relaxed, do we really have to have our hair cut alike, at the same time, and all wear it similar? Being fashionable is not about looking alike. We may be aware of trends, we can and should use them to our benefit but that’s it. Afterwards we must find ourselves, our style and make it work for us. If we believe in our style, if we rock it and not just wear it, it will work, no matter how different or how awkward it is. A look must have character, without it it’s just clothes. It’s the personality that rocks the look and not the other way around... Think about it!
