Um vestido de dia conjugado com um blusão de cabedal e stilettos. Eu gosto muito da combinação destas duas cores suaves, bem como, da oposição da aparência delicada do vestido lápis com o roqueiro blusão.

Day twenty-seven of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: After a weekend of casual, relaxed outfits, there's nothing better than starting the week with something completely opposite, such as this lady-like attire. A day dress paired with a bicker jacket and stilettos. I love the combination of this two soft colors and, also, the contrast of the delicacy of the pencil dress with the rocker appearance of the bicker.

Os meus jeans boyfriend combinados com uma t-shirt e um cardigan especial, com uma tonalidade bronze-dourado. O chapéu, os loafers e mala pele de cobra, conferem-lhe caracter e elegância, como qualquer look, casual ou não, deveria ter.

Good morning sunshine! How's your weekend going? I hope that it's being a happy and restful one, has all weekends should.

Day twenty-six of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: A casual and practical attire that allows me just enough room to have lunch with my family, grab a coffee on a terrace and take in some of this marvelous sun that we have today and prepare tomorrow's work. My boyfriend jeans paired with an inspirational t-shirt and a special cardigan that has a bronze-golden tone to it. The hat, loafers and bag, both in snake pattern give it character and elegance, has should every look have, casual or less casual.

Bom dia alegria! E um excelente fim‑de‑semana para todos.

Dia vinte e cinco do desafio "guarda-roupa essencial à prova": Um look descontraído e confortável para um dia atarefado, que me requer andar muito a pé, de carro, carregar material de trabalho (para quem acha que ser Consultor de Imagem é só folhear umas revistas de moda e dar uns palpites sobre o visual alheio, desengane-se!), ir a vários sítios diferentes e, claro, encontrar tempo para estar com a família. Umas leggings pretas conjugadas com uma t-shirt preta e branca e uns botins pretos criam a base do look, conseguindo manter uma silhueta elegante, apesar de muito confortável. Os botins, de salto baixo e largo, têm umas tachas pretas no calcanhar e salto que lhes conferem um toque especial e menos desportivo. A trench, a boina leopardo e a mala vermelha dão-lhe graça e cor, ao mesmo tempo que conferem um ar polido e elegante.

Day twenty-five of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: For today a relaxed and comfortable look to help me get trough a busy day, that requires me to walk a lot, drive from place to place and go to several different places, carry work material (for those who think being an Image Consultant is all about looking at fashion magazines and opine on other people's looks, think again!) and, obviously, find time to be with my family. Some black leggings paired with an inspirational, black tee and black booties make the base of this look, keeping an elegante silhouette despite being super comfy. The booties, with a low, chunky heel have some black, bright studs along the back which gives it a special, less sporty appearance. The trench, leopard beret and red handbag give it grace and color while keeping it polished and elegant.

Bom dia alegria! Sexta-feira... Devo dizer que esta semana tem sido intensa e extremamente cansativa. O fim‑de‑semana também não será de descanso mas sabe sempre bem chegar a sexta-feira. Acho que estou a precisar de fazer uma pausa e recarregar baterias, só tenho que arranjar tempo para o fazer.

Dia vinte e quatro do desafio "guarda-roupa essencial à prova": Falando em pausas, quando uso esta pashmina lembro-me sempre de Paris. Estivemos lá há dois anos e apanhámos um tempo frio e chuvoso, não estávamos nada à espera pois era já Primavera. Então um dia, numa rua de Paris, comprei esta pashmina que foi a minha fiel companheira no resto da estadia. Aqui sobreposta a um blazer e top básico, ambos rosa pálido, uns jeans e loafers de padrão cobra. Na verdade, uma pashmina é um elemento muito versátil, já que pode ser sobreposta a qualquer peça de roupa.

Good morning sunshine! Friday... I must say that this has been an intense, tiring week. The weekend won't be a resting one either but it always feels good to get to Friday. I think I'm just in need of a break to recharge my batteries, now I just have to find the time for that.

Day twenty-four of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: Talking about breaks, when I use this pashmina I always remember Paris. We were there a couple of years ago and got some really cold, rainy weather that we weren't expecting since it was already Spring. So, one day, I bought this pashmina on a very Parisian street and never let go for the rest of our stay. In today's look it's layered on a basic top and blazer, both in a pale pink hue, jeans and snake patterned loafers. A pashmina is actually a very versatile, useful garment, since it can be layered with everything.

Essential Wardrobe to the Test! & #Outfit 23 /31

Bom dia alegria! Passámos o meio da semana e o sol e o bom tempo continuam. É engraçado como estamos sempre a ouvir alguém queixar-se sobre o clima, sempre insatisfeitos com o que a natureza dá. Eu acho sempre trágico quando ouço noticias sobre catástrofes naturais de qualquer ordem mas com as estações do ano deixei de me importar já há alguns anos e aprendi a apreciar o momento. Quanto ao calor que em Portugal agora se faz sentir, chama-se "verão de S. Martinho" e aprendi isto com a minha avó materna, pelo que não me parece que seja um fenómeno novo. Vamos lá dar graças por estarmos vivos, por termos saúde, amor, paz e, porque não, sol e calor! O frio há-de chegar em breve e nessa altura teremos tempo para nos lamentar por isso também.

Dia vinte e três do desafio "guarda-roupa essencial à prova": Calças pretas, de corte recto, com um básico preto e um cardigan de padrão leopardo. A marcar a cintura mas também a criar a ilusão de que o cardigan é parte integrante do outfit e não apenas um agasalho, está um cinto de pele, fino, em cor camel que vai buscar alguma da tonalidade do padrão no casaco. Criar uma linha escura, vertical, no centro do corpo, como temos neste look, alonga e emagrece a silhueta. Os sapatos em padrão cobra, resultam bem em contraste com o cardigan leopardo, devido à similitude nas cores.

Good morning sunshine! We've officially passed the middle of the week and still the sun and warm weather continue here. What about where you are? What kind of weather are you experiencing? It's funny to see how most people always complain about the clima, always unsatisfied with what nature gives us. I always find tragic when hearing news on natural disasters of any kind but, as seasons are concerned, I learn a long time to don't care to much about that and just do my best to enjoy whatever comes. Why don't we dedicate today to be grateful for being alive, healthy, loved... The cold weather will come soon and then we'll have time to complain about that as well.

Day twenty-three of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: Black, straight pants, a basic, black top and leopard printed cardigan. Accentuating the waist line but also making it seem that the cardigan is a part of the outfit is a leather, skinny belt in a camel color that matches some of the cardigan's pattern. Creating a dark, vertical line on the center of your body, as we see in this outfit, elongates and slims your silhouette. The snake patterned shoes go well with the leopard on the cardigan because of the color similitude amongst them.

Bom dia alegria! Esta tem sido uma semana bem ocupada. Não sei como é convosco mas eu sou uma pessoa bastante organizada, gosto de tomar notas, ser pontual, preparar o material de trabalho com antecedência e só deixo para o último momento aquilo que realmente não pode ser tratado de antemão. A mim parece-me sempre a melhor forma de começar o dia sem stresses desnecessários. E vocês, que tipo de profissionais são? Metódicos, organizados ou totalmente ao contrário? Como acham que podiam melhorar o vosso dia-a-dia? Contem-me tudo!

Dia vinte e dois do desafio "guarda-roupa essencial à prova": Calças de fato com um básico branco e um lenço. A conjugação de diferentes padrões, entre as calças e o lenço, dá-lhe uma certa irreverência que o faz sair do monótono para um plano muito trendy e cosmopolita. Quando usamos lenços, apanhar o cabelo é um óptimo truque para não "perdermos" o pescoço.

Good morning sunshine! This has been a very busy week. I don't know about you but I am pretty organized, I like to take notes so I don't forget things or appointments, I enjoy preparing all my work material in advance and only leave to the last minute, what really can't be handled previously. To me it just seems the best, easiest way to start the day with no additional, unnecessary stress. What about you, what kind of professional are you? Methodical, organized or all over the place? Day twenty-two of the "essential wardrobe to the test" challenge: Tailored pants with a white basic and scarf. The combination of different patterns, between the pants and the scarf, gives it a bit of an edge pulling it out of boredom into a trendy, cosmopolitan attire. When using scarves, pulling up the hair is a great way of not "loosing" your neck.

September Look

Setembro... mês de dizer adeus ao verão, reorganizar o guarda-roupa colocando no fundo deste as roupas frescas veraneias e trazendo para primeiro plano o blusão de cabedal, a trench coat e todas as peças de transição que tão bem servem a meia estação.

Para este mês escolhi a combinação de padrões como representação daquela que é uma estação de contrastes. Bolinhas e riscas, brincam juntas neste outfit, a par com o blusão de cabedal em tom rosa pálido e estiletos e mala pretos. A combinação de cores no que respeita aos acessórios, embora ao longo dos anos tenha caído em desuso e seja considerada menos trendy, não é de todo conservadora mas antes uma escolha sempre elegante que garante um ar polido a qualquer look. Quando combinamos padrões distintos, a melhor forma de o fazer resultar é respeitar a forma ou a cor, garantindo que existe um fio condutor. Neste caso optei por manter as mesmas cores e formas diferentes.

September... a month to say goodbye to Summer and reorganize the closet putting your light summery clothes in the back of your wardrobe and bringing your bicker jacket, your trench and all the transitional pieces into it's front row.

For this month I chose a combination of patterns, symbolizing a season of contrasts. Polka dots and stripes go hand-in-hand in this outfit, paired with a pale pink bicker jacket and black stilettos and handbag. The matching color of both bag and shoes, although it might not struck you as the most trendy choice, it always gets you that nice, elegante, polished look; in this case, toning down the outfit. When mixing different patterns, the best way to get it right, is to keep a balance by matching either the color or the shapes in the patterns. In this case I chose to keep a color balance.

Dia vinte e um do desafio "guarda-roupa essencial à prova": Uma saia lápis, preta, combinada com uma blusa de seda branca. Duas peças básicas e muito versáteis que são aqui animadas pela combinação de padrões nos acessórios e modernizadas pelo padrão dos sapatos, em particular, muito em alta nesta estação.

Two very basic and versatile garments that are elevated by the combination of different patterns on the accessories and updated by the shoes pattern, in particular, that is now very on trend.
